fantastic bean! typically, do a medium roast -- behaves beautifully during the roast -- very nice smooth rich coffee after brewing and consistently so -- would recommend it highly

This was the first coffee I roasted and it turned out amazing. It is a forgiving bean for any of those other newbies out there. I did a Full City roast and pulled the beans as soon as the second crack began. The beans made a magnificent Espresso shot; it was syrupy, chocolatey, with a balanced little bite of fruity acidity. This bean made a strong but mellow cup from the french press. Good all around bean. Great start to my roasting adventures!

This one was quite a surprise! Like many of the African beans this one is smooth and well balanced with little acidity. Lots of floral notes, some cinnamon with loads of caramel/toffee - kind of reminiscent of freshly baked apple pie. This cup is full body with almost a syrupy/buttery mouthfeel. A very long sweet finish that just lingers in your mouth. Overall, one of my favourites!

New to roasting. This is a forgiving bean with roast times. Nice strong full flavor with a distinct taste of the bean oils. Like it better than the Columbian

Very nice coffee taste and great cup of coffee. Roasted to a medium/dark roast and brewed with a drip coffee machine. Great cup of coffee would recommend to everyone who enjoys coffee.

City Roast, Great smell, light chocolaty, nice rich body, not sure how to describe it, makes me want to drink in in one, very nice flavour I find its different from the average, that alone would make me buy it again.

This is so far a runaway hit with me and my wife. We have been roasting our own coffee for 8 months now. Amazing complexity with this coffee! Love the mouth feel with this cup. No bitterness, but rather a subtle sweetness from the fruity notes. One of my new faves! Will definitely order this again and highly recommend this over the Kenyan!

I have been using an air popper to roast my coffee as this is my first year I have started roasting at home. I found that this particular bean provided a very consistent roast. A medium roast is what I went for and I was able to achieve it every time. Very smooth tasting and absolutely zero bitterness. I highly recommend and I would purchase this again.

I love African coffees for thier complexity and balance. This Burundi is no exception, and it has a medium body with a black tea acidity and flavor profile to tame the exotic notes. Mulled apple sauce, allspice, and citrus zest with cane sugar seem to pop out of nowhere. This is a wonder of a coffee. Subtlety is the essence here too as with all great coffee. Grapefruity wine, clove, and oranges linger on my palate. Dark red cherries in a Full City cup cooling. I love tea so that tea leaf-like finish really puts a smile on my face. Kayanza is a district in Rwanda where the cherries are delivered for intricate hand processing. This is why the beans are good looking and consistent. Both neighboring countries show huge potential in the specialty coffee industry and this coffee is proof of a very intruiging offering.
